We are a team of immigration professionals (Migration Agents and Immigration Lawyers) with Offices in Melbourne, Australia and Auckland, New Zealand. We do not have any immigration consultancies or law firms acting as agents.

We have cumulatively been in the immigration assistance business for more than 60 years. We have helped many thousands of migrants become Australians.

Protea Pacific Limited was formed on 23 February 1998 when MacLeod Immigration Services Limited merged with Protea Immigration Consultants (Immigration Attorneys).

Immagine Australia Immigration Pty Ltd was formed on 1 January 2009 when Colin Adno & Associates, Lawyers and Migration Agents merged with Protea Pacific Limited.

Both were experiencing rapid growth in their respective markets and found they were offering overlapping services in many shared markets. The merger presented an opportunity to offer more services to more people in more places.

They have assisted more than 20,000 people make Australia and New Zealand their new home.

Colin Adno - Director

Colin Adno B.A., LL.B. (Wits) was born in Johannesburg and is a graduate of the University of the Witwatersrand. He qualified with a Bachelor of Arts in 1984 and a postgraduate Bachelor of Laws in 1987. He worked as a Lawyer in South Africa before moving to Auckland in 1992 where he worked as a Property and Immigration Lawyer. He lived there for 5 years and then moved to Melbourne in 1997.

In 1999, Colin formed his own Law Firm, Colin Adno & Associates, Lawyers and Migration Agents which still takes Commercial, General and Property Law instructions and processes Immigration appeals in the Federal Court of Australia.

Colin is a founding Director of Immagine Australia Immigration Pty Ltd and Immagine New Zealand Immigration Limited.

Colin is a Registered Migration Agent (MARN 98 01110) and an Immigration Lawyer. He is admitted to practice as a Lawyer in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa and is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria and the Migration Institute of Australia.

Colin has over 15 years of Immigration Law experience and having been through the migration process personally (twice), fully understands the stresses and emotions associated with moving countries.

Myer Lipschitz - Principal (Immigration Attorney)

Myer Lipschitz was born in Johannesburg and is a graduate of the University of the Witwatersrand. He obtained his BCom in 1982 and in 1985 he was conferred the degree Bachelor of Laws. Myer was admitted as an Attorney to the Supreme Court of South Africa in 1988.

Myer immigrated to New Zealand in 1989 and was admitted to practice law in New Zealand as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand. Myer started practising immigration law in 1992 and in 1993 established his own immigration consultancy known as Protea Immigration Consultants Limited.

The company changed its name to Protea Pacific Ltd in 1998 and in 2009 the company merged with Colin Adno and Associates (lawyers) in Melbourne and formed two companies, IMMagine Australia and IMMagine New Zealand. Myer is a Director of both companies and is now based in Melbourne, Australia, where he works as an Immigration Lawyer.

Myer is a past Director of the NZAMI and is a current Director of the New Zealand Immigration Institute. He is also a New Zealand registered Migration Agent, in possession of a full Immigration Licence. Myer's New Zealand Adviser Number is 200800310.

Myer is also a registered Migration Agent in Australia - MARN 0957242.

Kane Downs - Senior Consultant

Iain MacLeod - Principal

Iain MacLeod was born in New Zealand and grew up in Auckland. A graduate of the University of Auckland (Bachelor of Science) he has 15 years experience as an Immigration Consultant. He established his own consultancy, MacLeod Immigration Services Limited, in 1990 having been employed by a previous Minister of Immigration prior to that. Iain was the Vice-Chairman of the New Zealand Association for Migration and Investment between 1999 and 2000 and was on the Board between 1996 and 2000.

Iain is also a founding Director of the New Zealand Immigration Institute which operates as an immigration policy 'think tank' which consults on matters relating to current and future immigration policy with the Government and other interested parties in addition to being an industry body representing New Zealand based immigration practitioners. Membership of the New Zealand Immigration Institute is by invitation only and arguably represents the cream of New Zealand based private sector immigration practitioners.
