Myer Lipschitz - Managing Partner
Myer Lipschitz was born in Johannesburg and is a graduate of the University of the Witwatersrand. In 1985 he was conferred the degree Bachelor of Laws. Myer completed his Articles of Clerkship with Ivor Trackman, Attorneys and was admitted as an Attorney to the Supreme Court of South Africa in 1988.
Myer immigrated to New Zealand in 1989 and was admitted to practice law in New Zealand as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand. Myer became involved in immigration law when employed by Hesketh Henry in 1992. He was employed by that firm to establish an immigration department. Myer left their employ in November 1992 to establish his own practice, known as Protea Immigration Consultants Limited. Myer is a past Director of the NZAMI and is a current full member of the New Zealand Immigration Institute.
Iain MacLeod - Managing Partner
Iain MacLeod was born in New Zealand and grew up in Auckland. A graduate of the University of Auckland (Bachelor of Science) he has 15 years experience as an Immigration Consultant. He established his own consultancy, MacLeod Immigration Services Limited, in 1990 having been employed by a previous Minister of Immigration prior to that. Iain was the Vice-Chairman of the New Zealand Association for Migration and Investment between 1999 and 2000 and was on the Board between 1996 and 2000.
Iain is also a founding Director of the New Zealand Immigration Institute which operates as an immigration policy 'think tank'. Membership of the New Zealand Immigration Institute is by invitation only and arguably represents the cream of New Zealand based private sector immigration practitioners.
Kane Downs - Senior Consultant
Kane joined us in June after a 4 year stint with the Department of Immigration and Citizenship. His final position with the Department was as a Business Integrity Officer and he has a wealth of experience both within the fields of business migration policy and student policy.
Kane has a Bachelor of Business Management and Accounting as well as Graduate Certificate in Migration Law and is a Registered Migration Agent.
Ruth Lipschitz - Admin Manager
Ruth is the company Administrator for Immagine Australia, taking care of all the logistics and planning. She has been working in the migration industry for so long [since 1992] that it is difficult to imagine her prior career but her working life started as a Buyer in South Africa.
Ruth migrated to New Zealand from South Africa in 1992 and formed Protea Immigration Consultants in partnership with her husband, Myer Lipschitz. When the company merged with Iain MacLeod in 1998 to form Protea Pacific Limited Ruth's role was very much the same, namely Administrator and Bookkeeper. When Ruth and her family immigrated to Australia in 2008 she continued in a similar role with IMMagine Australia. Ruth and Myer have three Kozzies (Kiwi Aussies) aged 16, 14 and 12 and between the three boys and work she has a busy but rewarding life.

IMMagine Australia Immigration are a team of immigration advisers and lawyers with our head office in Melbourne, Australia. We do not have any immigration consultancies or law firms acting as agents although some refer work to us. We have been in the immigration assistance business for over two decades and in that time we have helped many thousands of migrants.
Immagine Australia was founded in 2009 in a response to our New Zealand's office growing demand to assist those people 'across the ditch'. Originally New Zealand based, Myer Lipschitz relocated to Melbourne to establish the business, which has very quickly built an enviable name within the industry.
The two directors of both companies and their team of experienced advisors have assisted more than 20,000 people make New Zealand or Australia their new home.
